Lottie to MP4 & WebM Converter
Preview a Lottie animation and export a browser-ready WebM video. MP4 availability depends on your browser codecs, so the tool never hides a failed export.
Ready for a Lottie JSON file.
How to convert Lottie to video
- Upload a Lottie JSON animation.
- Preview the animation and choose WebM or MP4.
- Export, then add the video to a deck, social post, or product demo.
Why browser-side export?
Your animation is rendered locally. No upload queue, account, or server copy is required.
Questions designers ask
Why is WebM the default?
Modern browsers can encode WebM directly from a canvas. MP4 needs a codec that is not exposed consistently to every browser.
Will my JSON leave the device?
No. The preview and recording happen in your browser tab.
Choose video settings that fit the destination
A 1080-pixel square export works well for product demos and social posts, while a smaller canvas is kinder to documentation pages. Match the aspect ratio to the final slot before recording; stretching the finished file later can soften edges. Start at 30 FPS for most interface motion. Use 60 FPS only when the source really benefits from the extra frames.
WebM or MP4?
WebM is the dependable browser export because current Chromium browsers expose a WebM encoder. MP4 appears only when the browser reports a compatible recorder. That check happens before export, so an unavailable format is disabled instead of producing a pretend download. Preview the result, check the background, and then save it.
Large-file safety
JSON parsing runs in a background worker. A 10 MB input limit and a 16.7-megapixel canvas limit prevent a complex animation from quietly freezing the tab. You can cancel a running task without losing the selected file.
